A Little About Me
My Practice
If you’ve been holding it together on the outside, but inside it’s overwhelming, I help you make sense of it all. Whether it’s your relationship with yourself, with others or with food and your body, I help you understand yourself better and move toward real, meaningful changes that align with your values.
I trained as a clinical psychologist in London and my practice is rooted in warmth, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe therapy should be a safe space where clients feel deeply seen and understood, not just treated for symptoms. My approach is integrative and values-driven, drawing from evidence-based models like Cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, schema therapy and motivational interviewing, but always adapted to the unique needs and identity of each person.
I don’t believe in rushing into deep work before a foundation of trust and safety is established. I focus on creating a space where clients can make sense of their experiences, better understand their patterns, and start to relate to themselves with more compassion and clarity.
My core values in my work:
- Compassion over perfection: I help clients let go of rigid expectations and make space for being human.
- Cultural sensitivity: As someone working closely with Arab and expat clients, I honour the cultural and relational contexts that shape our stories.
- Empowerment: I want my clients to walk away not just feeling better, but understanding themselves better, equipped with the tools to support their growth outside of sessions.
- Integrity and honesty: I hold space gently, but I’m not afraid to explore the deeper or more difficult truths when the time is right.
- Collaboration: Therapy isn’t something I do to someone, it’s something we build together.
What I'm Like
The relationship we build is at the heart of everything we do in therapy. You can expect a space that allows you to take a breath, pause, and really look inward without judgment.
I’m collaborative in my style, which means I won’t just tell you what to do. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll make sense of things together. I’ll ask meaningful questions, gently challenge when it’s needed, and offer reflections that help you see yourself with more clarity and compassion.
I hold space gently, but I’m also not afraid of going into the harder, messier places - because I know that’s often where the real shifts happen. I incorporate reflection, curiosity, and at times gentle challenge, depending on what’s needed in the moment.
I do believe in being real and when it feels right, I’ll bring my own humanness into the room - whether that’s a quiet laugh we share or a personal reflection that supports the work we’re doing together. You don’t have to be perfect here. And I won’t be either.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
Our sessions are a space for you to slow down, feel safe, and talk about what’s really going on - without pressure or judgment.
Sometimes we’ll focus on specific goals, and other times we’ll explore whatever feels important that day. There’s no one way to do therapy. Some sessions might feel more structured, and others more open and reflective, both can be helpful in different ways.
I’ll guide the process, but we’ll always work together. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, help you understand patterns, and gently support you in making changes that feel meaningful for you - at your own pace.
Most of all, you can expect a space where you don’t have to be perfect, where your experiences are taken seriously, and where we’ll figure things out together.
Our first session
Starting therapy can feel like a big step and I want you to know that it’s okay to come in unsure, nervous, or not knowing where to start.
In our first session, I’ll guide us through a gentle conversation to help me get to know you - what’s brought you here, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you might hope to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, and you don’t need to have all the answers. This is simply a space for us to begin making sense of things together.
We’ll also talk about what working together might look like, what’s most important to you right now, and how we can shape therapy around your needs. If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s okay too. We’ll figure it out together.
All in all, this session is here to help us both get a feel for what it’s like to work together and to decide whether this feels like a good fit, and whether we’d like to start working together.
My goal in the first session is to help you feel heard, understood, and a little more at ease about the process ahead.
