A Little About Me
My Practice
Clinical and Health Psychologist with extensive experience in trauma, conflict, and humanitarian mental health. I support clients dealing with stress, anxiety, abuse, as well as coping with grief and loss. My therapeutic approach is integrative, grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and tailored to each person’s individual needs.
I hold a PhD in Medical Psychology and Sociology from the University of Leipzig (Germany). My research focused on intergenerational trauma and conflict-related sexual violence, with fieldwork conducted in countries such as Lebanon and Uganda. With more than a decade of experience across research, therapy, and humanitarian settings, I combine academic insight with clinical expertise to strengthen resilience and psychosocial well-being.
Having lived in London for over six years, I also specialise in supporting expats navigating work–life balance, life transitions, and the challenges of adapting to a new environment.
What I'm Like
With more than ten years of work experience abroad, I’ve come to see myself as a global citizen — someone who is deeply curious about people and sensitive to diverse cultural backgrounds. Living and working across different countries has strengthened my appreciation for cross-cultural understanding and enriched the way I connect with clients.
I am a calm and attentive listener, but I will also gently challenge your perspective when it can support your growth. And just to prepare you: my Austrian accent has stayed with me, even after many years of speaking English — most clients find it charming, but I like to mention it in advance.
Outside of work, I’m a sea-and-mountain person at heart
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
I believe that you are the expert of your own story, and that you already hold many strengths that can help you navigate the challenges you’re facing. In our sessions, we will work together to build on those strengths, gain clarity, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I truly acknowledge the strength it takes to get started. You don’t have to do this alone — I’m here to support you.
Our first session
I offer the first session free of charge. From my experience, the most important part of beginning therapy is the first impression you have of your therapist. This initial meeting is a chance for you to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable, understood, and supported — an essential step in deciding whether you’d like to continue this journey together.
During this session, there is no pressure or expectation. It’s simply a space for you to share what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and get a feeling for our connection. My aim is to create an open, warm, and safe environment so you can decide whether this feels like the right fit for you.
