A Little About Me
My Practice
My approach to therapy reflects understanding, compassion, and, most importantly, a holistic perspective.. Therapy, to me, is a space to express unaddressed emotions, reconnect with one's true self, and working towards a value-based life that fits with the persons aspirations.
I aim to provide a space that is judgment free, ethically grounded, and culturally attuned. I hold respect for each client’s background, identity, and story, and I take great care not to work outside of my area of competency. I’m committed to showing up in every session, continually learning, reflecting, and seeking out what might be most helpful to each client I work with.
I genuinely love working with a diverse range of adolescents and adults, whether they are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, grieving the loss of a loved one, navigating major life transitions, managing anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, struggling with identity questions, or simply feeling ready to explore themselves more deeply.
Therapy is your space and time that’s fully centered on you. It’s a place where your thoughts, emotions, and experiences are met with presence, validation, and care.
My own journey through therapy has been fundamental to how I show up as a therapist. It’s given me a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to be vulnerable, the importance of feeling truly seen and heard, and the power of a safe, non-judgmental space. Because I’ve experienced the transformative impact of therapy firsthand, I ensure to provide that to my clients.
What I'm Like
As a therapist, I would describe my style as collaborative. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. I meet each client where they are and adapt to what feels most right for them. While I can be gently directive when needed, I always prioritize creating a space where clients feel ownership over their process. I do also take an active role in our sessions; I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer reflections, and, when helpful, gently guide our conversations to bring things into awareness.
I value reflection, emotional depth, and meaningful insight but I also believe that therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. Other times, they may be lighthearted or simply a space to talk about the things you enjoy. I believe these moments are just as important.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
In our work together, you can expect a balance between structure and fluidity. Some sessions might feel more exploratory, focused on processing emotions or making sense of your experiences, while others may feel more intentional and goal oriented, depending on where you are and what you need in that moment. I take into account your values and aspirations, and I tailor our work accordingly to support the goals we identify together over time.
Our first session
Your first session is really about me getting to know you and setting the tone for our work together. It’s a space where you can share what brought you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and anything that feels important for me to know about your experiences so far. I’ll also take some time to explain how therapy works, what our sessions might look like, and answer any questions you may have.
