A Little About Me

My Practice
My therapeutic approach is based on my training in CBT and psychodynamic approaches. I work with adolescents and adults in helping them reach a deeper understanding of themselves and the challenges they face. The therapeutic goals are set and worked on collaboratively and our relationship will serve as a safe space to venture through emotions and experiences and to achieve therapeutic change.
What I'm Like
My approach varies with each client. It is extremely individualistic. Your individual characteristics and our therapeutic bond will influence the therapeutic journey.

What Can You Expect From My Sessions

Some sessions might feel more exploratory, focused on processing emotions or making sense of your experiences, while others may feel more intentional and goal oriented.

Our first session

The first few sessions is around me getting to know you and setting the tone for our work together. I will ask you what brought you to in and ask you to share anything that you feel is important for me to know about you. I will eventually give you my understanding of what you seem to be experiencing, and if that resonates and you are comfortable with moving along, we can agree on issues that need to be worked on and place some therapeutic goals. In the first session, I will take some time to explain a few things such as how I will be of help, some common expectations from therapy, what is expected of you, the session fee, length and frequency, what our sessions might look like, and answer any questions you may have.
