A Little About Me

My Practice
Therapy with me is relational, curious, and rooted in the belief that people aren’t problems to be solved they’re individuals shaped by systems, experiences, and relationships that often go unseen. Sessions are collaborative and gently paced. Some days it’s about making sense of something specific; other days, it’s about sitting with what’s hard without needing to fix it right away. There’s room for reflection, some humour, and real conversation...not jargon. My work is grounded in a systemic lens, which means attention is given to the patterns we carry, the roles we’ve learned to play, and the environments that taught us how to relate to ourselves and others. This perspective helps shift the focus from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What’s happened around me?” and most importantly - what’s possible from here. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship dynamics, identity shifts, parenting challenges, and intergenerational patterns. There's a special place in this work for the ones who feel stuck but aren't sure why, those quietly searching for something more grounded, more honest, or more connected. Everyone’s working through something, and I believe the process works best when it feels safe, honest, and taken at your pace Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to it, there’s space here for whatever you’re carrying.
What I'm Like
You’ll find that I’m real and honest in the room... someone who’s not afraid to sit with you in silence, but also ready to roll up our sleeves and figure things out when that’s what you need. My approach is collaborative, not one-size-fits-all. Some days that means reflecting quietly, other days it means laughing, problem-solving, crying, or even playing a game. I’ll meet you where you are, with care and curiosity and I’ll always be mindful of the pace that feels right for you. I’m direct when it’s helpful, gentle when it matters, and always tuned in to what the moment calls for.

What Can You Expect From My Sessions

Sessions with me are collaborative, flexible, and grounded in real connection. Sometimes we talk things through, other times we sit with what’s hard. We might laugh, cry, pause, reflect, or even just figure out how to start. There’s no script, and no pressure to “perform”. We'll meet wherever you are that day. Some sessions feel more structured, others more open. We check in, make space, and move at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you need clarity, validation, curiosity or calm...we shape the space together. I often use the word intention more than goals. It’s not about rigid plans or ticking boxes, but having some sense of what you’d like to move toward can help give our work direction and depth. My approach is grounded in a systemic lens, which means I’m always thinking about the bigger picture - the relationships, roles, and patterns that might be influencing what’s going on. And when helpful, I’ll also bring in cognitive tools to support you in making sense of your thoughts and responses. No two sessions are exactly the same because no two people are. But every session is a space we build together

Our first session

The initial session will be the get-to-know session. We’ll talk about what’s brought you in, what’s been feeling heavy (or unclear), and what you might be hoping for. But this isn’t a one-sided Q&A, it’s also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work, ask questions, and see if the space feels right for you.
