A Little About Me
My Practice
I believe that therapy should meet people where they are and gently support them in discovering where they want to head. Whether you have a clear sense of what’s going on or feel unsure and confused, that’s completely okay. You don’t need to plan your sessions in advance or have all the answers. We begin with where you are right now and slowly explore what feels important in the moment.
My work is integrative and strongly client-centred. My background in psychiatry, client-centred therapy, and creative therapeutic modalities allows me to work flexibly, adapting therapy to each individual rather than following a fixed model. I focus on developing personalised treatment plans that respect each person’s pace, strengths, and lived experience, helping us both navigate what is going on in the present.
I am well experienced in working with ADHD, anxiety, bereavement, and symptoms of depression across different ages. I also have extensive experience within school systems and in adapting school resources to meet a child’s individual needs.
Therapy is something we build together. We pause at regular check-points to reflect on what has shifted and where the work is heading, ensuring the process remains meaningful, supportive, and aligned with your needs — within a safe space where you can unpack, reflect, and grow.
What I'm Like
Having worked across Egypt and the UK for over 15 years, I bring a culturally responsive approach and a deep understanding of the complexities of navigating different cultural contexts. I support children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds, particularly around identity, transition, belonging, and change.
Having a side project around literature gives me a depth on how to use different forms of art as movies, songs, books and other artisitic modailities within the sessions. I am also highly intersted in adovcay and how to empower the client outsie the theraputic space where they can use their resources externally as well. I belive in hoslistic approch where we will be looking to all the ecosystem aorund the client and how this imapct them and how to use it.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
Within each therapy session, I remain attuned to your pace and your needs. Whether you want to talk about something from the past or focus on strategies and coping mechanisms for the here and now, we will talk, reflect, and process together in a way that feels supportive and manageable.
I am always open to revisiting our goals — checking in on what feels helpful, what may need adjusting, and gently modifying our focus as your needs change over time. Therapy is a flexible and evolving process, shaped collaboratively rather than fixed from the start.
Sessions are personalised according to each client’s needs, and I am always open to using creative techniques and methods when this feels helpful. For parents seeking support for their child, our work often begins with gaining a full understanding of the wider picture around your child and family. At times, we may also explore personal experiences including your own struggles, childhood experiences, or other factors that may be contributing to the current situation.
Throughout the work, my aim is to offer a safe, respectful space where you feel heard, supported, and able to engage in the process at your own pace.
Our first session
The first session can often feel tricky, whether this is your first experience of therapy or you have been in therapy before. You don’t need to come prepared or know exactly what to say. I will gently guide the conversation, helping you feel at ease as we explore, reflect, and make sense of what you are experiencing at your own pace.
If you have worked with another therapist before, we will take time to reflect on that journey what you found helpful, what didn’t work for you, and what you learned about yourself. This allows us to pick up where you left off and build on it, while also helping me adapt our work to suit your previous experiences. Therapy is a continuous journey, and your past work is an important part of it.
By the end of the first session, we will have a clearer understanding of your current situation and begin to identify possible ways to move forward together.
