A Little About Me
My Practice
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe that therapy is not about “fixing” what’s wrong with you, but about understanding and reconnecting with the parts of you that have been shaped by difficult experiences.
I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and parts work, integrating mind–body awareness. I believe real healing happens when we bring curiosity, care, and courage to our inner world.
Core values that guide my work include authenticity, empowerment, emotional safety, and deep respect for each person’s story and pace. I’m especially passionate about supporting thoughtful, sensitive adults who have spent much of their lives striving, people-pleasing, or feeling “not enough.” Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals who appear capable on the outside but feel anxious, self-critical, or disconnected within—often shaped by developmental trauma or emotionally immature caregiving.
I love working with individuals who are emotionally curious and committed to personal growth. You don’t need to have it all figured out—just a willingness to show up, be honest, and explore what healing might look like for you.
What I'm Like
I work in a collaborative way, using metaphors and examples to help you understand yourself better. I will offer you my reflections on the patterns I observe. Sometimes conversations may feel deep and serious, sometimes there may be some light humour thrown in when appropriate.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
Sessions tend to be fluid and explorative. I usually begin by checking in with you to see how you're doing and whether there’s anything you'd like to prioritise that day. I also make connections with what we were working on in previous sessions to help build a sense of continuity and depth.
My style is open and reflective. I gently explore issues with you, drawing links to past conversations and introducing strategies or techniques that may be helpful. Sessions often include a mix of exploration, insight, and practical tools to help you break out of unhelpful cycles or patterns you may feel stuck in.
When relevant, I also bring in your past experiences and, where appropriate, we may work directly with those memories using EMDR to support deeper processing and healing. You can expect me to invite you to connect emotionally with your experiences, slowing down and tuning in to what’s happening in your body. This helps build the capacity to sit with difficult thoughts and feelings, rather than becoming overwhelmed by them.
Our first session
In your first session, we’ll begin by exploring the difficulties you’re currently facing and, if there’s time, start to place these in the context of your past experiences. I’ll ask you a range of questions to better understand both your present challenges and your personal history. Sometimes it takes a couple of sessions to talk through your background fully, and that’s completely okay—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.
Another important part of the first session is beginning to identify what you’d like to change. Together, we’ll start to clarify some initial goals for therapy so we have a sense of direction to guide our work.
